Can I choose the aeration time of my wine?
Yes, you absolutely can! While the app speaks to the aerator telling it the ideal aeration time for a specific bottle of wine you have scanned, you can manually program the device for however much time you’d like, from 1 minute to 24 hours. The app is there to help in case you don't know how much time is necessary, but experimentation is encouraged!
What if I want to try a different aeration time of the same bottle of wine?
As the wine is aerated while coming out of the bottle, you can try out different aeration times for each glass and personalize the aeration according to your guest’s tastes.
What is the difference between Aveine and a traditional wine aerator?
With traditional wine aerators, you can just aerate or not! This is an ON/OFF system. Traditional wine aerators simply pass air through the wine, unable to take into consideration the various times needed for specific types of wine. It makes no sense because some wines need 20 minutes of aeration while others need 2 hours. Thanks to knowledge from a rich database calculating ideal aeration times for different wines and Aveine’s patented technology – the aerator can put up to 24 hours of oxygen into the wine in an instant.
Will the aerator fit on any bottle?
It is adaptable to the majority of 75 cl classic bottles.
How do I clean it?
After using, rinse with water in the sink. No dishwasher, no detergent.
Will the aerator affect the taste and quality of the wine?
The aerator does not alter the wine. It puts oxygen into the wine as it flows through the device, releasing its flavors and aromas. The right amount of oxygen brings the wine to life, while too much can kill it. We invite you to explore different levels of aeration and explore different sensations.
How do I get the app, and is it free?
The app is available for free on Google Play for Android 5.0 or greater, and in the App Store for iOS 10 or greater.
How does it work if the wine is not recognized by the app?
If the wine label scanned is not currently in our database, a series of questions will be asked, and depending on the answer, our algorithms will propose the best aeration time.
What language is the app available in?
The app is available in currently available in English and French. Additional languages may be added at a future date.
When is the expected delivery date?
September 2018, November 2018 or January 2019 depending on the level of perk selected.
